Disciplinary Action: Any violations of the code of conduct may lead to disciplinary measures, including detention, suspension, or expulsion, depending on the severity. Bullying and Harassment: Yorkshire International College maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, discrimination, and harassment in all forms.
Medical Records: Parents must submit complete and accurate medical information for their child, including any known allergies, medications, or medical conditions. Emergency Procedures: The College has a comprehensive emergency protocol in place, and parents must ensure up-to-date emergency contact details are provided. Illness Policy: Students who are unwell or contagious must refrain from attending school until cleared by a healthcare provider or until the risk of spreading illness has passed.
Curriculum: Students will follow the Sri Lankankan National curriculum. Progress Reports: Parents will receive regular reports on their child’s academic performance, progress, and overall development. Attendance: Regular attendance is critical for student success. Unexplained or excessive absenteeism may result in academic penalties.
Communication: Parents and guardians are expected to maintain regular communication with the College regarding their child’s progress and any concerns. Parent-Teacher Meetings: Parents are encouraged to attend parent-teacher conferences and other school meetings as scheduled by the College. Transportation: The College does not provide transportation services unless otherwise specified. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child’s timely arrival and departure.
Use of Facilities: Students must treat all school facilities, equipment, and resources with care and respect. Damage to Property: Parents/guardians will be financially responsible for any damage caused by their child to College property, including equipment and facilities.
Voluntary Withdrawal: Parents wishing to withdraw a student must provide written notice in accordance with the College’s policy, typically 30 days prior to withdrawal.
Involuntary Withdrawal: Yorkshire International College reserves the right to terminate enrollment if the student fails to meet academic, behavioral, or financial obligations.
Termination due to Non-Payment: The College may suspend or terminate a student’s enrollment for non-payment of fees, following an appropriate grace period.
Resolution Process: Should a dispute arise, the College encourages open dialogue between parents/guardians and the relevant staff members. If necessary, mediation will be sought. Jurisdiction.
School’s Responsibility: Yorkshire International College is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to students, their property, or belongings, except in cases of negligence on the part of the school. Parental Responsibility: Parents/guardians are responsible for the conduct and wellbeing of their child outside of College hours and during school-sponsored activities.
